Northlav Cloud Artificial Intelligence Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
1. AI agents: Mortis and TIMO
Northlav Cloud includes two specialized artificial intelligence agents:
🤖 MORTIS (Customer service and sales)
Serves the business’s end customers: answers text and media messages, understands voice notes and documents, checks the Knowledge Base, qualifies leads, spots sales opportunities, books appointments and hands the conversation to a team member when needed.
🧠 TIMO (Internal operations assistant)
Helps the business customer’s internal team look up operational data, generate reports, send internal notifications and run authorized tasks in the dashboard. Certain sensitive actions require mandatory human approval.
2. No cross-training
Northlav does not use a Customer’s private conversations to train general models for other customers. Aggregated or de-identified metrics may be used to assess the stability, performance and quality of the Service.
3. Human oversight and high-impact decisions
The Customer must keep the ability to pause agents, correct information or step into conversations.
Mortis and TIMO must not be used as the sole authority for medical, legal, financial, credit, employment or other decisions affecting fundamental rights.
4. Transparency: the agent discloses that it is AI
People who message a business have the right to know they are talking to an automated system. Therefore:
- When a customer asks whether they are talking to a person or to AI, Mortis does not deny it: it says it is the business’s virtual assistant or, if the Customer set it up that way, hands the case to a team member.
- Mortis never claims to be a human. The Platform checks every reply before sending it and does not send any that makes that claim, regardless of the Customer’s settings.
- The Customer may not configure the agent to deny being automated, or to pose as a person in order to sell or influence a decision.
This addresses, among others, California’s bot disclosure law (Business and Professions Code §17940 et seq.) and Article 50 of the EU AI Act. See also the Terms (section 12).
